Funds are not granted to address needs internal to a particular congregation, such as:
• formation programs
• supporting retired sisters
• operating a novitiate, motherhouse or retirement center
Funds are not granted to the following kinds of projects:
• retreat centers
• diocesan or parish programs and schools in the United States and other high-income countries
• well-established projects with large operating budgets
Funds are not granted for the following purposes:
• paying tuition or school fees of specific students
• repaying incurred debts
• contributing to endowments or capital campaigns
• major construction or renovation
• purchasing land or buildings
