Eligible Projects
Sisters who are working full time in ministries that directly serve the poor may be eligible to receive grants for materials, equipment and operating expenses. These grants typically have one-year terms and do not exceed USD $15,000. Projects addressing the following needs may qualify for funding:

preschools, kindergartens & child care primary & secondary schools adult education & literacy vocational training & job creation womens empowerment
Health
clinics & dispensaries maternal & infant health care nursing homes & elder care HIV/AIDS awareness, treatment & support providing access to safe drinking water nutrition & feeding programs

programs for the disabled programs for orphans & abandoned children transitional housing programs programs addressing human trafficking promoting economic sustainability & self-reliance immigrant & refugee services emergency relief in response to natural disasters
Environment
purchase/installation of solar equipment renewable energy sources sustainable agriculture & food security animal husbandry

Leadership Conferences
National and regional leadership conferences of women religious in the developing world are eligible to receive grants to help facilitate intercongregational communication and collaboration, including grants to equip and operate a secretariat and to develop and implement intercongregational education, leadership and capacity-building programs.
